In 2006 BRAL became the first and only advertised accounting and administration service organisation in the UK with the SAS 70 Type II accreditation. We have been subsequently re-accredited and continue to hold a valid audit certificate.
A SAS 70 Type II examination is a thorough investigation carried out by independent auditors to confirm that appropriate procedures and controls are in place in a service organisation, such as performance monitoring, data security and change management. It has come to prominence since the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, where US listed companies require outsourced providers used by Group companies to be SAS 70 Type II compliant.
